Waterford Greenway
The Waterford Greenway is a stunning 46km route that can be cycled, walked or even done on a Segway, from the city to Dungarvan. Rent or bring your own but be sure to enjoy picturesque views as you make your way along the greenway.

Some notable stops to include as you venture along the route include the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway – just 2km down the greenway – which takes people of all ages on a railway ride through the abandoned Waterford-Dungarvan line. Another popular spot to note is Mount Congreve Estate Gardens. For a quick pitstop, the village of Kilmacthomas is a must to refresh and refuel. Enjoy a cuppa at Couch House Coffee, situated at the historic Famine Workhouse.

At the end of the greenway you will be able to enjoy gourmet fish and chips in the harbour town of Dungarvan. Medieval Museum
Journey back in time in Ireland’s oldest city by stepping inside Medieval Waterford at the Medieval Museum. This is Ireland’s only purpose-built Medieval Museum and it’s the only building on the island to incorporate two medieval chambers.

Located within the heart of Waterford’s Viking Triangle, within the city centre, end the day by going to see Europe’s only complete set of medieval cloth-of-gold vestments, or the Luker Chalice which is the oldest surviving Waterford chalice. It’s 1,000 years of history in 1,000 paces.
